Erin Munoz is an Orange County based hair stylist and educator specializing in creative color, lived-in cutting, and boho styling. Currently, Erin works behind the chair at her salon, Opal Hair Studio in Huntington Beach, CA. She realized she had developed a passion and love for hair at a fairly young age and decided to pursue the career in 2009 by enrolling in cosmetology school. Inspired by art, fashion, and her mother's colorful floral business of 30+ years, Erin found herself studying the color wheel and all of it's complimentary hues, as well as all geometric shapes, designs, and patterns. Since becoming licensed in 2011, she has mentored under many talented stylists and artists in the industry. Her mantra states that you can never learn or educate yourself too much in this beautiful career or in life for that matter. There is no such thing as too much wealth of knowledge!

Her advanced training in color, cutting, styling, and business have helped to maintain her motivation, hone the craft, and stay up to date with the latest trends and techniques. She has been privileged to travel and educate for companies such as Croc TurboIon and Enzo Milano. Between teaching other stylists, taking master classes, and working behind the chair, Erin feels that her many experiences have shaped her into a well-rounded stylist. She loves everything about the hair industry and what it has taught her, not only in actual technique, but in life lessons. She looks forward to many years ahead behind the chair and sharing her passion with other human beings.

Erin was published in Modern Salon magazine in the September 2017 issue as a result of her participation in the Balayage and Boho contest where she ranked as a top ten semi-finalist! In 2019, Modern Salon magazine recognized Erin as one of their Top 100 stylists of 2019. In her downtime, Erin enjoys spending time with her family, husband, friends, and two cats - Charlotte & Hennessy. She loves the beautiful Southern California beaches, wine, travel, and being a foodie!
